A unique sound and video program, curated by iMage, will be part of the international festival Time in Jazz www.timeinjazz.it, which takes place in Berchidda, in the heart of Sardinia, August 10 to 16. The event, created twenty years ago by Paolo Fresu, is today one of the most prestigious and renowned cultural appointments in Italy, dedicated to tradition, inventiveness and creativity. It is based on the encounter and the comparison between different artistic languages: jazz in its various declinations, visual arts, dance, cinema, ethnic, ancient and contemporary music, poetry and literature. In Berchidda, iMage ARCHIVE www.image-web.org/archive -the multimedia archive devoted to collecting, preserving and advancing architecture videos- offers a new side and intriguing viewpoint on contemporary architectural production. The program, made in cooperation with in/arch www.inarch.it, includes contributions by architects and filmmakers with different backgrounds and experiences. From the distinctive sound explorations by Caipirinha Productions to the architectural stories told by Squint/Opera, Simone Muscolino (Id-lab) and Francesco Monaco, to the metropolitan excursions of next architects, to the reconstruction of Le Corbusier's Philips Pavilion, to the spaces interpreted by Filippo Macelloni or by Edgar Pera, to experimentations of archi-tectonics, to Artefactory's visions. The result is a rich and assorted program that will offer to the public of Time in Jazz the expressions of some of the authors who better interpreted, in the last years, the visual aspects and the sounds in architecture.
